The company Elmhults Konstruktions AB has been the dedicated manufacturer of ELME Spreaders for the handling of containers, trailers and swop bodies since 1974.

Started as an one man activity, the group now employs some 139 highly qualified people, who develop, design, produce, market and service over 800 spreaders annually. Mechanical, electrical and hydraulic engineering are done by the latest CAD systems and FEM analysis techniques.

Production is performed in a purpose built factory. Fully computer controlled and automated machine centers, robot welding equipment and the use of high quality components ensure highest quality and reliability at competitive prices.

A modular concept, creatively combined with design simplicity and innovative answers to new requirements from the market, are all characteristics of ELME. ELMEspreaders are supplied to the manufacturers and users of lift trucks, reach stackers, straddle carriers, rubber and rail mounted gantry cranes and quayside ship-to-shore container cranes, worldwide. Todays list of internationally recognised manufacturers relying on ELME spreaders as the standard working tool for their equipment is some twenty OEM’s.
